Everything you need to know about shipping with GSA Worldwide Logistics — from methods and customs to insurance, pricing, and delivery.
01 — General
Getting started
Who is GSA Worldwide Logistics?
We are an international freight and logistics company based in Europe, specialising in container, RoRo, vehicle, machinery, and project cargo shipping to destinations worldwide.
How do I get a quote?
Simply request a quote online or contact our team with your cargo details, origin, and destination. We will respond with a clear, no-obligation quote.
How does the shipping process work?
In four steps: we quote and book your shipment, prepare and clear export documentation, transport your cargo by sea, and handle destination customs and delivery.
Which regions do you ship to?
We ship worldwide — across Europe, Asia and Australia, the Middle East, Africa, and Central and South America, through all major ports and trade lanes.
02 — Methods
Shipping methods
What is RoRo shipping?
RoRo (Roll On Roll Off) means your vehicle or rolling cargo is driven directly onto a specialised vessel, secured for transit, and driven off at the destination — no cranes or containers needed.
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL (Full Container Load) dedicates an entire container to your cargo. LCL (Less than Container Load) lets you share container space and pay only for the volume you use — ideal for smaller shipments.
What is flat-rack or break-bulk shipping?
These methods handle oversized and out-of-gauge cargo that does not fit a standard container — such as large machinery, project cargo, and heavy-lift loads.
How do I choose the right method?
It depends on your cargo type, size, value, and budget. Our team advises the most suitable and cost-effective method for every shipment.
03 — Cargo
Vehicles & cargo
What types of vehicles can you ship?
Cars, SUVs, luxury and classic cars, electric vehicles, vans, buses, trucks, pickups, tractors, motorcycles, and ATVs — virtually any vehicle.
Can you ship heavy machinery?
Yes. We ship construction, industrial, agricultural, and mining machinery — from excavators and cranes to generators and full production lines — via container, flat-rack, and break-bulk.
Do you ship boats and yachts?
Yes. We move sailboats, motor yachts, and powerboats by RoRo, container, or specialist flat-rack and break-bulk, with custom cradling and secure lashing.
Can you handle oversized or project cargo?
Absolutely. We specialise in oversized, out-of-gauge, project, and heavy-lift cargo with full load engineering and expert handling.
04 — Customs
Customs & documentation
Do you handle customs clearance?
Yes. We manage full import and export customs clearance — documentation, HS classification, duty and tax calculation, and compliance at both origin and destination.
What documents are needed to ship?
Typically a bill of lading or waybill, commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin. We prepare and verify these for you.
What is a certificate of origin?
A document declaring where goods were manufactured. It determines duty eligibility and qualifies shipments for preferential trade agreements.
How do you avoid customs delays?
Accurate documentation, correct HS classification, and proper duty calculation upfront prevent the errors that cause hold-ups and penalties.
05 — Insurance & Pricing
Insurance & pricing
Is my cargo insured?
We offer comprehensive, all-risk cargo insurance on every shipment, usually on a door-to-door basis, so your goods are protected throughout the journey.
Isn't my cargo already covered by the carrier?
Carrier liability is limited and often excludes weather-related losses, typically paying only a fraction of your cargo’s value. Dedicated cargo insurance covers the full value.
How is shipping priced?
Pricing depends on cargo type, volume or weight, method, and route. We provide clear, upfront quotes with no hidden fees — you know the full cost before you commit.
Do you offer fixed quotes?
Yes. Once we have your shipment details, we provide a transparent quote so you can plan your budget with confidence.
06 — Tracking & Delivery
Tracking & delivery
Can I track my shipment?
Yes. We provide regular shipment updates from booking through to delivery, so you always know where your cargo is.
What is door-to-door delivery?
We collect cargo from your premises and deliver it to the final destination address — a fully managed, end-to-end service. We also offer door-to-port and port-to-port options.
How long does shipping take?
Transit times depend on the route, method, and ports involved. We provide an estimated delivery window upfront and keep you updated throughout.
Do you deliver inland after the port?
Yes. We arrange inland transport from the destination port to your warehouse or door, with tracking throughout.
